One of the most important things you can do for yourself and your business is manage your finances. As matter of fact as it sounds, there are still so many business owners who start without a plan and end up wondering where all the money went. Bookkeeping is essential; it's essentially the recording of the money coming in and out.

People were literally starting businesses and were totally clueless as to whether they were actually making money.  I don't know about you, but my business requires a lot of me, so I have to make money or else I would be sleeping on someone's couch.
